Native Trails Launches Eco-Conscious Collection, Winemaker.
Handcrafted in the USA, Native Trails' Winemaker Series brings the essence of California’s wine country into bathrooms through sustainable design practices. Utilizing upcycled oak staves reclaimed from Central California wineries, Native Trails gives these wine-soaked staves a second life, transforming them into elegant and generously grained, contemporary bath vanities and mirrors.
Product design highlights include:
-
Upcycling Wine Barrels to Bath Furniture: Once salvaged, the oak staves are dried thoroughly and brushed to remove wine residue, then planed to a buttery smooth, soft finish, showcasing the natural beauty and character of the wood. After each piece is built, it is meticulously sanded to provide a tactile experience that’s further enhanced by a protective, hand-applied stain.
-
Natural Materials + Character: During the fermentation process, these staves, made from solid French and American white oak, absorb the wine's flavor and aroma for months, enhancing the wood's exceptional character and grain.
-
Contemporary Design: The Winemaker Series is distinguished by intricately placed horizontal slatting and generous graining. The vanities feature open shelving and spacious, soft-close drawers with discreetly integrated pulls, resulting in furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful.
-
Finishes: Cask Oak and Charred Oak
