Professional Bio
Eliot Sefrin is the founding editor and longtime publisher of Kitchen & Bath Design News, which marked its 41st year of publishing in 2024, and is widely considered to be the leading magazine serving kitchen and bath design professionals. Sefrin has spent most of his career in media covering the kitchen and bath industry, serving as KBDN’s editorial director and publisher from 1994-2011. He currently serves as publisher emeritus for KBDN and its parent company, SOLA Group Inc., which also publishes KBDN’s sister magazines, Qualified Remodeler and Residential Design.
KBDN has helped shape, define, and educate the kitchen and bath industry, while helping raise the professionalism and profitability of its 45,000+ monthly readers through its print, seminar, and online programs, which deliver education to kitchen & bath professionals, including DPHA members, in key U.S. markets.
Sefrin partnered with DPHA nearly two decades ago to create DPH Perspectives, a column that is published exclusively in Kitchen & Bath Design News. Sefrin has also served as a speaker at NKBA chapter meetings, as well as at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). He was inducted into the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Hall of Fame in 2008, and in 2012 became the only member of the media ever to be afforded honorary membership in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).
